This summer Beaufort castle situated in the grand duchy of Luxembourg will showcase a highlight of special cultural interest!

This summer the visitors of Beaufort castle will be able to enjoy a highlight of special cultural interest which have never been seen before. On the 20th July 2012 the castle ruin will present a rock concert at its very best set in front of an impressively illuminated scenery.

Blackmore´s Night, the Renaissance band of minstrels formed in 1997, features legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and award winning singer/songwriter Candice Night, and their international band of talented musicians. Performing on acoustic guitars, mandolins, mandolas, as well as electric guitars, the band´s style is based on Renaissance/medieval melodies. The mystical vocals of Candice Night portrayed through her mythical lyrics takes the listener on a journey through medieval Europe right into contemporary times.

The six-piece minstrel band who also performs on several traditional instruments like shawm, cornamuse, rauschpfeife, pennywhistle, and chanters includes the very talented Bard David on keyboards, Earl Gray on bass guitar, and new guest musicians for the 2012 concerts. The modern troubadours primarily perform in castles or churches where they can completely do without drums. Blackmore´s Night don´t want to change the world with their music but to give pleasure to their listeners.
